Finishing Strong

Our time in England has come to an end. I'm sad to be leaving and delighted to get home. This trip has given us precious time with family and friends and each other. I've never actually spent 24 hours a day for 32 days with anyone. No better time to find out what that is like then on a once in a lifetime trip with Steve. We came here as partners and we leave as going to be married people!

The trip ended with none other than a Rugby World Cup FINAL! This time it was Australia against New Zealand. The kiwis were looking to create history with back to back world cup victories - and they got the job done. For all my Aussie friends (Rikki, Mitch, Talia and the people I can't think of) I was cheering for you!

After the final, Steve and I had two last days. Sunday we slept in and had a wonderful roast at Electric with Laila and family. Then we headed to see Carl and Kathryn for one last night that started at the Gin Palace, followed by tapas, and of course a late night Rocky Horror viewing. Not to be forgotten was the late night fox sighting that Carl so gleefully shared in his undies. LOVE family!

Monday morning Steve and I headed to see the changing of the guard and the Tower of London. The crown jewels were a phenomenal sight -- and then we headed home for evening in with Laila and Anastasia. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the trip. Laila and I grew up together. We've known each other for 30 years - and it has felt like being at home at her place in Kensington.

Home is where your heart is. And our heart is all over this place! Thank you my friends.
